VASE Inter-IT Badminton Cup 2022 Rule
All the matches will be played on wooden court with Yonex Mavis 350 Yellow Nylon (Green Band)
Tournament will be held on 19 & 20 Nov 2022 at Old Subedar Hall, Near Ravi Nagar Square
All the matches will be played from 10 AM – 6 PM.
Only registered teams will be able to participate in the tournament. No spot entries will be entertained.
Shuttles will be provided for the match. Each team should bring their own rackets.
Matches will be played on league basis (i.e. first round).
For Men’s

Note : Only one player will play 2 matches but in different category(No compulsion). Rest all players will play 1 match.

Once decided teams cannot be altered.
Team must be present on the court 20 minutes prior to the match. Failure to do so will lead to walk-over for that match.
Double racket touch of shuttle, net touch and carry will be foul.
Services should be in accordance to international rules. In case of any conflict, the referee’s decision will be the last decision.
Winning team will get one point for the match. In case of tie breaker in a pool, number of winning format is calculated (it must be high), if still same, number of losing format should be low, if still same then overall Point difference will be used to advance the team. In case point difference is same of top 2 teams in single pool then one decider set (Single set of 21 points) will be played in Men singles format to decide standings in pool.
Participating players in each format must be disclosed before each format.
Losing team player must sign the score sheet after each game. Scoresheet will be available with referee.
Make sure that all the players from your team are in company attireto exhibit professionalism of the event. Apart from general attire i.e. Company T-shirt, Lower, shoes, supporter (if any). Jeans, traditional wear are NOT allowed on court.
Sports shoes are mandatory on court. Formal shoes, trekking shoes (woodland), slippers, kito are NOT allowed on court.
Referee’s decision will be final and no arguments will be entertained during the match.
If any team found guilty for arguing with Referee or on the rules mentioned above during the match, that team shall be barred from the tournament immediately without any further consideration.
Misbehavior by any team or supporters, ON or OFF the field needs to be dealt adequately. As discussed, at least email would be sent to all the participating team describing the incident.
Player’s identification– Each team needs to produce a valid Team Nomination Letter from their Company HR/Administration. Each team member needs to be carrying some identity proof which can be used for verification. Responsibility for producing the letter and identity proofs lies with the respective team only. Each team needs to be ready for the verification whenever asked.
In case of inability to play due to injury in the match, the opponent will be declared as winner. For e.g. PlayerA got injured on 8-0 then PlayerB will be declared as winner with points 21-8.
In case of roof/pole touch, opponent will get the point.
During a set if the point difference becomes 11-0then the set will be won by lead player. However this rule is not applicable for 1st set.
Point of contact between Racket and Shuttle should be inside your court.
There will be maximum 3 timeouts in a format apart from half set, set break & 11th point break. No more than 2 minutes timeout is allowed.
Technical Rules
Scoring System
In Both Categories (Men’s/Women’s) 3 sets of 15 points will be played in league. For Semi-finals/Finals, 3 sets of 21 points each.
Every time there is a serve – there is a point scored.
The side winning a rally adds a point to its score.
At 14/20 all (as per round), the side which gains a 2 point lead first, wins that game.
At 20/25 all (as per round), the side scoring the 21/26th point (as per round) wins that game.
The side winning a game serves first in the next game.
Interval and Change of Ends
When the leading score reaches 11 points (only in semis and finals), players have a 60 second interval.
A 2 minute interval between each game is allowed.
