Details:

Composition of the team: 

  • A maximum of 10 players can be played in a team. (9 players + 1 impact player)
  • Apart from the 9 players you can have one player (male/female) as an Impact player. So, the total composition of the team will be 10 players.
  • Only 7 players are allowed to field (you can use the other two players for substitutes)
  • Only 9 players will be allowed to bat regardless of whether they have fielded or not.
  • Team can be a mix of male and female employees.
  • There is no restriction on the number of male and female employees, but the team size cannot exceed more than 10 players (including the impact player).



Format:

  • 8 overs a side


Rules: 

  • All matches will be played with the tennis ball.
  • All matches will be played as 8 overs a side.
  • Each inning would start with a new ball.
  • Five minutes break shall be taken between each inning in a match.
  • The full composition of a team must be present 20 minutes before the start of their game. It is mandatory to have at least six players during the toss (from both the teams).
  • A minimum of 6 players are required from a team to start the match. Remaining players must arrive within 3 overs. In case of a failure only the fielded 6 would be allowed to bat.
  • Failure to report (at least 6 players) on time will lead to loss of overs.
  • Delay up to 5 minutes – 1 over will be reduced.
  • Delay up to 10 minutes – 2 overs will be reduced.
  • Delay up to 15 minutes – 3 overs will be reduced.
  • Delay beyond 20 minutes – Opponent team will be declared as the winner.
  • A bowler can bowl a maximum of 2 overs in an innings.
  • 1 run will be awarded to the batting team for a wide and a no ball plus an extra delivery.
  • All “no-balls” (front foot, above the waist will result in a free hit in the next delivery)
  • Byes and overthrows are possible means of scoring runs.
  • No runs can be scored off leg byes.
  • There will be no LBW decision.
  • Players are not allowed to represent more than one team and cannot be transferred.
  • Bowlers are allowed to bowl one bouncer per over without being called a no ball. Unplayable bouncers will be declared wide and the rules pertaining to wide shall be followed.
  • In case of a match is tie, we will have a super over (Super over rules will be applicable)
  • A runner can be used only when the player gets injured/tired (No runner is allowed in the final over the match. If the runner was taken prior to the last over, they can continue but new runner cannot be allowed in the last over)
  • On field umpire’s decision would be the final one.

  • A team will be declared as all out if they lose eight wickets.

Impact Player: 

  • A team can introduce an impact player at any point of the game.
  • Impact players should replace an existing player in the team & he/she will not be allowed to play for the rest of the game.
  • An impact player shouldn’t replace a female player in the team.

  • An impact player will be considered as a player of the team and he/she cannot represent any other team

Female player rules: 

  • Every run scored by the female employee will be given as double runs (Except for a four & six. A four will be a four & a six will be a six).
  • For Example, if a female player scores two runs, it will be given as four runs.
  • Golden catch award - will be given to the catch taken by the female employee.
  • The Captain Lioness – This award will be given to the best female captain of the tournament.
